Un Observatoire
As part of the event Lisa Nelson – Danser, une façon de voir (8–17 October 2026, Paris & Brussels), Contredanse and Atelier de Paris present a public evening around the Tuning Scores.
Un Observatoire is the opening to the public of an improvisation practice. It is not a performance in the usual sense of the term, but a shared moment in which one can see a dance in the making. Audients are invited to witness the play of their own imaginations—to note their own desires—while being privy to the decisions dancers confront in navigating their physicality and making a dance together. The Observatoire is not a demonstration: it is an invitation to perceive differently, to inhabit the role of spectator differently.
With Baptiste Andrien, Stéphanie Auberville, Franck Beaubois, Claude Boillet, Florence Corin, Pascale Gille, and Lisa Nelson.
Organised by Contredanse, in partnership with Atelier de Paris, with the support of the Centre National de la Danse (Pantin), Villa Albertine, and the Albertine Foundation through the FUSED program.
