Archives in the city
From 4 to 23 August, the outdoor exhibition Archives in the City will be on view at Place de la Monnaie as part of the Brussels Dance Festival. It features a selection of photographs from the book “Danser, une histoire“, published by Contredanse Editions.
Over the past century, dance in Belgium has undergone profound transformations. Shaped by artistic movements, social change, and aesthetic revolutions, it has taken form in studios, theatres, and public spaces alike. Through a series of 10 photographs, Archives in the City highlights the many facets of dance and its rich history.
