    A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Danse de Paris, Dominique Genevois completed her training at mudra, Maurice Béjart’s school in Brussels. In 1975, she joined the Ballet du XXe siècle and took on roles in Sonate à trois, le Sacre du printemps (l’élue), l’Oiseau de feu (la Partisane) and Ce que l’amour me dit. A soloist in Maurice Béjart’s creations, including Gaîté parisienne, La Flûte enchantée, Wien, Wien Nur du Allein, Dionysos, Le Concours, Malraux ou la métamorphose des Dieux, she also performs works by John neumeier, Lar Lubovitch, Bertrand D’At, Philippe Lizon and joins Maguy Marin in 1987 at the Centre Chorégraphique national de Créteil for Éden and Coup d’état.

    Delegated by Maurice Béjart to pass on his works, notably in international schools, Dominique Genevois is interested in set and costume design, which she creates for the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Stuttgart Ballet and theatre companies, enjoying working with actors.

    As a choreographer, she participated in Marcel Landowski’s Galina (Opéra de Lyon, 1996) and created various pieces for the young Ballets of Hanoi and Jakarta, as well as at the Okinawa Festival and in Manchuria. . She was Kader Belarbi’s assistant at the Paris Opera for his creation Wuthering Heights (2001).

    Holder of the Certificate of Aptitude, she was appointed professor at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon (CNSMD) in 1992 and is involved in training for the State Diploma and the Certificate of Aptitude for Classical Dance Teacher. She is invited for master-classes in many international schools and within the framework of Erasmus exchanges in Europe.

    In 2016, she published Mudra, 103 rue Bara. The School of Maurice Béjart 1970-1988 at Contredanse Editions.
