How to talk about dance in school?

How to talk about dance and its historical developments? How can we de-dramatize its approach for a wide audience, and more particularly for school classes? And inversely, how to use dance to address questions that touch on school subjects.

These recurring questions have led Charleroi Danse, in partnership with Contredanse, to develop an educational package on the history of dance in Belgium. Composed of an illustrated booklet, a pedagogical file and video extracts, this kit aims, among other things, to serve as a support for teachers to approach dance in class.

This workshop will be an opportunity to discover this tool in relation to other resources available at the Documentation centre and to think together about the different ways of using it.

This event is organized as part of Danses en fête.

    Free on reservation.
