    Cultiver les Tuning

As part of the event Lisa Nelson – Danser, une façon de voir (8–17 October 2026, Paris & Brussels), Contredanse and Atelier de Paris devote an afternoon to exploring the Tuning Scores in different forms: research presentations, archival projects, and digital tools.

The afternoon is dedicated to cross-presentations of works, research projects, archival documents, and digital tools connected to the Tuning Scores. It includes four sections:

Touché & Re.Dancing – Salon de jeu: presentation of a video game developed by Lisa Nelson, Baptiste Andrien, and Florence Corin (Contredanse), which invites participants to explore the temporal plasticity of moving images. An interactive video installation, accessible throughout the day, invites the public to play with video clips and experiment with the principles of the Tuning Scores in a digital environment.

Conversations et archives: Two documentation and research projects are presented: The Tune of Talking: Conversations in Vermont by Myriam Van Imschoot, which explores speech and transmission in Lisa Nelson’s practice, and STORE, an archival project with Claude Boillet.

TuneZoom: An online Observatoire, bringing together remote participants and guests, projected live. Motivated by the 2020 lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a group of Tuners adopted the social platform Zoom to explore the Tuning Score.

Héritages et transmissions: This section brings together Replays by Anouk Llaurens and La sensation est l’image by Pascale Gille, Ghislaine Louveau, Nelly Paubel and Julie Perrin before opening up to the audience and to other artists and researchers for a sharing of their relationship to the Tuning Scores.
